A lifetime journalist and one time chef/owner of three London restaurants, Richard Savin’s first book was published by Canongate in 1979. Vakilabad – Iran, was an account of his experiences during the run up to the Islamic Revolution. In the 1990s he was a regular guest broadcaster with BBC Radio South current affairs. Since then he has gone on to write five novels and is currently working on a sixth. He has a passion for cooking, wine, classic cars, motorcycling, and travel.
