Jess Popplewell

Author of an invitation in the Dark London Anthology

 

Born and raised in Yorkshire, Jess holds degrees in English Literature and Creative Writing from Lancaster University and York St John University. For three years she worked with a charity to provide emergency accommodation to homeless young people, eventually supporting more than thirty teenagers from five countries before moving to London in late 2019. 

She has been writing fiction for as long as she can remember with a focus on dark, magical themes – alchemy, underworlds, witchcraft and cults.

Dark London

This author has contributed a short story to Dark London, a collection inspired by one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and showcasing the writing talents of seventeen writers across the world.

All royalties will be donated to London-based charities. Writers, artists, editors, contributors and the publisher receive no royalties.
