Patrick Welsh is an emerging fiction writer from northern England, specialising in fantasy and horror stories. He studied Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh and his work has been featured in gothic horror anthologies and mental health websites. In 2012 he was a finalist for the Scottish New Writers Awards, with the panel praising “the boldness and ambition of his writing” and in 2019 he won the Jesmond Library Creative Writing Award for his short story “Love Interest.” He is currently living in Newcastle Upon Tyne next to a Victorian cemetery.
